사진 파일 자체는 앱이 저장하지 않습니다. 식별자만 기억해 두었다가 화면에 보여줄 때 사진첩에서 직접 읽습니다. ‘복사’를 누르면 사본은 앱이 아니라 여러분의 사진첩(고른 앨범)에 만들어집니다.
사진 파일·사진 식별자·EXIF 데이터베이스를 업로드하지 않습니다. 사진 분석은 기기 안에서 수행합니다. 다만 사진 위치를 중심으로 지도를 열면 지도 요청 영역이 그 주변 장소를 드러낼 수 있습니다. 계정 체계는 없습니다.
앱을 열면 기기에서 임의로 만든 설치 식별자, 실행일, 플랫폼과 앱 버전, 기기에 설정된 로케일과 그 안의 국가 코드(예: KR)를 Supabase로 보냅니다. 이는 설치 수, 활성 사용자, 버전 및 지역 설정 분포를 집계하는 데만 사용합니다.
도로·지명·지형은 Google Maps SDK로 내려받습니다. 보고 있는 지도 영역과 지도 조작 정보가 Google에 전달될 수 있습니다.

In one line — Your photos, videos and photo capture locations are never sent to a server. We collect anonymous app activity and device locale; Google Maps SDK communications are described below. There are no accounts, logins, or ads.
Footprint Map is a gallery for the photos and videos on your device, and it reads the capture location (EXIF) of photos to paint a map in grid cells.
Photos and videos are moved to the trash, moved to another album or copied only when you tap that action. Android asks you to confirm each time (unless you allowed “Manage media”, see section 4). Items in the trash can be restored for 30 days, after which the device empties them.
The app does not store copies of your photos. It keeps only identifiers and reads the photos from your gallery when displaying them. When you tap Copy, the copy is created in your gallery (the album you chose), not inside the app.
Anonymous app analytics: a randomly generated install identifier, launch date, platform, app and build version, device locale, and locale region code are sent to Supabase to count installs and active users and understand version and region-setting distribution.
The app does not upload photo files, photo identifiers, or the EXIF database. Map requests centered on photo locations can reveal the surrounding area. There is no account system. The analytics install identifier is not linked to a name, contact detail, account, advertising ID, GPS location, IP-derived location, or photo location. The region code comes only from the device's locale setting and may differ from the user's residence.
Background maps use Google Maps SDK. Google processes map requests, device/SDK metadata, IP addresses, SDK pseudonymous identifiers, crash information and map interactions. The app does not track current GPS location. Offline photo records remain available, but the map may be incomplete or blank; it does not fall back to bundled coastlines. Share images are created on your device. Photos, videos and share images are only handed to another app when you explicitly tap Share, Open with or Edit and choose one.
Photo-related data lives only in the app's local database. Clear it any time via Settings → Apps → Footprint Map → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app. Anonymous analytics source records are stored by Supabase without an account link. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the local random identifier and stops future records under that identifier.
We use no advertising network or crash-reporting SDK. Supabase processes and stores the anonymous app analytics described above. A private administrator Telegram bot displays aggregate daily and region counts, not individual records.
This app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
